Overview
GapSignal provides self-guided assessment materials and related site content for retail pricing and merchandising leaders. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the GapSignal site, access its materials, or contact us.
Information you provide
The free Pricing Reality Check can be completed without submitting an email. If you request the emailed write-up, the email address and eight ratings are stored with a private result token in GapSignal's application database, and the message is sent through the MadeThis platform. The site does not set an automatic deletion date for these saved results. The optional Pricing Override Log request sends an email address through the MadeThis platform, records it as a subscriber for the requested delivery, and emails the download link; it does not include assessment answers or log entries. The public site has no contact form; its contact link opens your email application.
How we use information
GapSignal uses submitted information to provide requested results or files, respond to questions, support purchases, and operate the site. PostHog records page views and selected product outcomes in memory while analytics consent is pending or declined, unless Do Not Track is enabled. Those events do not include the eight ratings, email addresses, company information, or order references. Analytics URL fields are stripped of query strings and private pair/share tokens before events are sent.
Analytics and browser storage
PostHog records page views and named product outcomes in memory while consent is pending or declined. If you allow optional analytics, PostHog switches to its consent-approved persistent storage and enables limited clicks, dead clicks, heatmaps, and session recording on public offer pages. All input values and on-screen text are masked in recordings. Assessment, results, account, checkout, and private sharing pages are excluded from recordings and automatic interaction capture. HeyCatch remains separate and off until you allow analytics; it uses in-memory persistence and automatically records page views and rage-clicks, while automatic click and form-submit capture is disabled. Do Not Track keeps both services off. The named product events do not include Reality Check answers, email addresses, customer account or company details, order references, or private link tokens. PostHog identifiers use cookies and local storage only after opt-in; your analytics choice is stored in local storage, and campaign parameters are kept in session storage after opt-in. The site also uses cookies for authentication and private Reality Check pairing access. A private result or pairing link may itself contain a token; GapSignal removes those tokens from analytics URL fields.
Purchases
The Adoption Gap Audit is currently listed for $295 as a digital product. Purchases are processed through the MadeThis platform checkout. The site confirms an order only after checking it with the platform and shows purchase details; contact GapSignal about delivery questions. Review the product and payment information presented at checkout before completing a purchase.
